Photography is life.
Every single family I meet along the way remind me of that, and remind me why I do what I do. You see, I am so behind printing my own photos that I am now near a panic that I need to do this before I leave Malaysia. And we are leaving Malaysia at the end of June, so I need to hurry. My 4 year old was born here, and although of course I know that where we have lived, what we have experienced as a family and the people we have met has started to shape her little person, I doubt she will have any real memories of her life here.
So photos become life.
When I step into someone’s home, I step into their life and I become a hunter of light and moments. I become the messenger that will create these images for each family to look back on years later and remember life as it was, or discover it, if too little to remember. So that, from still pictures, smells, and touches and feelings come back alive and if your children do not remember, you’ll be able to tell them all sort of stories from looking at these images again, So you see, photography is Life.
